用ArcMAP打开mxd文件,常出现红色！符号。
<P>以前用8.3编辑的mxd文件，用9.0打开，在数据文件旁边常出现红色感叹号，这时，数据文件的图在显示区没有显示，无论怎么放大也不行。在Arcglobe打开默认3d图也出现这种问题，不知道是哪里没有设置正确，请高手指教。</P>

<P>wangxiri has pointed a good way of storing mxd documents. When I create a new arcmap doc, the first thing I would do is to change the absolute path to relative path. You could do this through the File > Map properties... > Data Source Options...</P><P>This is desired unless you have specific settings</P>

最好在存MXD的时候把数据改成相对路径，不要用绝对路径。

<P>出现叹号是由于加载的文件路径已经改变（一般出现在从别人的计算机copy过来的mxd文件），在叹号上点及出现对话框，重新指向有叹号文件的路径即可。</P>
