<P>How to mosaic a raster into an existing SDE raster
1 In the ArcCatalog tree, right-click the raster you want to mosaic with an existing raster in ArcSDE.
2 Point to Export.
3 Click Raster to Geodatabase.
4 Navigate to the database connection into which you want to import the raster or type its path. Alternatively, drag a database connection from the ArcCatalog tree.
5 Select the existing raster name to which the new data will be appended.
6 Click Change Settings.
7 Click the Storage tab and check the checkbox next to Append to 8 existing data.
9 Click OK to close the Output settings dialog box.
10 Click OK to mosaic the data.

You can also use Raster to Geodatabase Wizard to mosaic rasters to existing rasters in a geodatabase. </P>
