Can the data served on ArcIMS services be edited?

The data served on ArcIMS mapservices cannot be edited using ArcIMS only. However, you can integrate other programming languages such as ArcSDE Java API to edit ArcSDE data or MapObjects - Java to edit shapefile data from your Java-based ArcIMS clients. The JSP sample available in the Related Information section below uses ArcSDE Java API to add the point features to the sde layer served on ArcIMS mapservice.<img src="images/post/smile/dvbbs/em10.gif" />
