这是我朋友以前做的一个安装说明,按程序每次安装都没有问题.此文献给还在用8.3的朋友.

1.edit esri.dat => change the servername field (first line) to your hostname（hostname为你的计算机名）
2. install the license server
   然后把那个esri.exe覆盖原来的就可以了 ，将esri.dat拷过去
3.设置变量：右击我的电脑－－属性－－环境变量
  set both ESRI_LICENSE_FILE + LM_LICENSE_FILE with this value : 27005@servername <== servername is YOUR pc name...

4.新建文本文档：imgrd.log存于文件夹winnt里，属性为“存档”
5.修改lmtools里的“configure services”项：
   path to the imgrd.exe  file  
E:\PROGRA~1\ESRI\License\lmgrd.exe
   path to the licence  file   
E:\Program Files\ESRI\License\esri.dat
   path to the debug  file   
E:\WINNT\imgrd.log
保存重启，一切尽在掌握中！让我们开始享受arcgis给我们带来的快乐吧！安装桌面版或工作站，或者两个都可以！

6.查看Server Status,如果出现
Vendor daemon status (onComputerName):
        ESRI: UP v7.0
        则说明你的License Manager已经正常启动了
查看Server Diagnostics中,如果出现This license can be checked out等,你的License文件可以使用
